With a background in teaching and a degree in Psychology, I first trained as a relationship counsellor with Relate.
 
Since then, I have qualified as a psychosexual therapist, undertaken specialised post-trauma training including EMDR, which is recommended by NICE as treatment for trauma, anxiety and depression.

I am an accredited BACP counsellor, senior accredited psychosexual therapist with COSRT and an accredited therapist with EMDR UK.
 
My work over the last thirty years has included:

• Counselling and psychosexual therapy for Relate
• Private practice counselling, psychosexual and EMDR therapy with individuals and couples
• Five years counselling learning disabled adults in an NHS hospital 
• Clinical Director of Topic Counselling Services delivering
  - counselling to staff involved in critical incidents such as bank raids
  - workplace (EAP) counselling
